Cheese "Mozzarella Scamorza"

Mozzarella Scamorza cheese is not a very pleasant word for the Russian ear. And if we learn that it comes from the Italian capa mozza, meaning "severed head," our imagination will probably take us to some cave with orcs. But, really, it's not that bad. Scamorza is an Italian cheese in the Pasta Filata category. It gets its name from its unusual pear shape. In the process of drying it is suspended with a string by one third of the cheese body. The result is the impression of a small, fat man hanging there.
